ANDREW CHURG, MD, PhD

Andrew Churg received his MD and PhD (Experimental Pathology) from the University of Chicago. He has been at the University of British Columbia, where he is now Professor of Pathology, since 1980.  He is also a pathologist at Vancouver General Hospital. His areas of interest are lung and pleural pathology. He has published more than 400 journal articles, 75 book chapters, and 9 books in this area, including the 4th Series Fascicle: Tumors of the Serosal Membranes,  and Atlas of Interstitial Lung Disease Pathology, now in its second edition. He serves as Chairman of the US-Canadian Mesothelioma Reference Panel.  He is an editorial board member on 13 journals in the fields of clinical and experimental respiratory medicine, pathology, and particle toxicology.
